we talk about Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, we can also appoint Panchito Villa to Emiliano Zapata, and Ernesto Guevara.

Besides these great revolutionaries I would add Rosa Luxemburg, but also Ilio Barontini, if you don't know about him, do a search, it's worth the effort.

If we focus on modern day revolutionaries I’ll vote for:
Gorbachev – he replaced the totalitarian soviet communist model with democracy and ended the cold war (as much as a single person can possibly achieve such gigantic goal)
Obama – he may possibly become the American Gorbachev, if he is not assassinated too soon (following the infamous American tradition)
Osama – I’m neither Muslim, nor support what in the west is called terrorism, but he already has a national hero/revolutionary status in many Asian countries.
Mao – despite his many mistakes and sins he created modern China. Whatever image the western propaganda is trying to paint he laid the foundations of the industrial revolution which turned China into economic superpower.
